The Veterans Day assembly was an event to remember. Our school takes pride in the remembrance and acknowledgment of the veterans that left everything to go over seas and keep our country safe with their lives at stake. They go over seas to keep the fight their and not here. 
This is a parent at academy at the lakes and it is important to recognize the heroes in our very own school community. 
This 2nd grader wrote a speech on her amazing daddy who was able to attend the Academy at the Lakes Veterans Day assembly.
We can thank our lovely girls chorus sang the national anthem.
Our lower division chorus sang my shot from the play Hamilton. 
The boys chorus sang a mashup of all the armed force’s songs. 
And to end the Veterans Day assembly Dr. Compton played Taps in remembrance of the fallen soldiers
